Counseling & care

You are not alone.

Hard seasons come to everyone — grief, anxiety, a marriage under strain, a loss, a habit that has a grip, a faith that feels far away. Whatever you are carrying, you were never meant to carry it by yourself. CBA Orlando is here to listen, to pray, and to walk with you.

If you are in crisis right now

If you or someone near you is in immediate danger, call 911. If you are thinking of harming yourself, you matter and help is available right now — in the U.S., call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), any hour, in many languages. For local social-service referrals in Central Florida, call 211.

How we care

Ways we can walk with you.

Care at CBA is personal and confidential. You set the pace, and you are never judged. Here is what we can offer.

A listening ear

Sometimes you just need someone to hear you without rushing to fix it. We will sit with you and listen — in Portuguese, English, or Spanish.

Pastoral counsel

Our pastoral leadership offers spiritual counsel grounded in Scripture — for marriage, family, grief, doubt, decisions, and faith. It is care for the soul, freely given.

Prayer

We will pray with you and for you, by name and for your real situation. Prayer is not the last resort — it is where we begin.

A bridge to professional help

When a need calls for a licensed counselor, doctor, or specialized program, we will help you find trustworthy professional care. We never pretend to be what we are not.

An honest word

Pastoral care, and knowing its limits.

CBA Orlando offers pastoral and spiritual care — the care of a church family. We are not a licensed clinical or medical provider, and we will say so plainly. For diagnosis, therapy, medication, or crisis treatment, we will gladly point you to qualified professionals and stay alongside you in prayer and friendship.

What you share stays confidential within the small circle of people caring for you.

Reach out

Ask for prayer or care.

This goes straight to a real person at CBA Orlando — never a bot, never an automated reply. Tell us as much or as little as you want, and we will reach out with care, gently and confidentially, at your pace.

How would you like us to reach you?
How soon would you like to hear back?
Reply language

What you share stays private and goes to a real person, never to an automated system. We use it only to reach you and to care for you — never to judge you, and never shared beyond the people walking with you.

Give the gift of listening

"Volunteer to Listen."

If you are a pastor, a licensed counselor, or simply a mature believer who is willing to give time to listen and pray with someone carrying a hard season, we would love to know you. This is not a bot and not automatic — every application below is read and reviewed by CBA leadership, and no one is ever introduced to a person in need until that review is complete.

How this works: you apply, a pastor or leader on our team reviews your background and availability, and only after that review might we ask you to walk alongside a specific person — with their knowledge and consent too. We never auto-match a stranger to someone in crisis.

Apply to volunteer as a listener.

Tell us a bit about yourself. There is no minimum experience required — just a willing, caring heart and some time to give.

Reply language

Your application is reviewed by CBA pastoral leadership only, and used solely to consider and prepare you for a future match — never to introduce you to anyone in need without that review happening first.

Keep growing

Care for today, and a rhythm for every day.

Once the immediate need is met, there is a daily rhythm to grow in — a word to read, a voice to hear, and a next step whenever you are ready.
